Walk description:

The road runs along the north side of the loch. It is a tarmac surface but is not a public road, used by only a few local residents and acting as a service road for the water authority. There are very few cars but expect plenty of walkers and cyclists.

It is possible to continue along the loch side for another few miles with excellent views across the loch and over to Ben Lomond. Further still there are gradients greater than 1:10. The deer grids on the route with accessible side gates can be difficult to open sitting on a scooter or wheelchair. However the number of walkers on the route means that help is usually avaailable.

Additional notes:

There are a number of disabled parking spaces at Trossachs Pier plus a toilet which is accessible by wheelchair but does not give access on a scooter. There is also a cafe and a gift shop.

This is a fairly easy ramble to the picnic spot at Brenachoille Point and can be extended (depending on the capability of the machine used).

There is a four-seater golf buggy available for hire at Loch Katrine Pier. Boat trips on the loch are possible on the Sir Walter Scott, which has access on to the top deck. (NB The toilets and cafe/ bar are below)
