From Wells drive along the A371 towards Cheddar. Drive through Cheddar and head towards Axbridge. Take the turning to Axbridge and you will see a yellow sign on your left saying Cheddar reservoir works access.
Turn left here down towards the Bristol Corinthians Yacht Club. You will come to a metal gate, and parking is to the right of this.
The entrance to the Reservoir is through a kissing gate by the gate, unless you have a radar key. Once through the gate there is a short slope before you get to the circular walk around the Reservoir.
Once at the top of the slope you can either go left or right. keep walking until you come back to where you started. The walk take about an hour and you have to go through two gates.
The walk is flat and goes around the Reservoir
The path is solid made up of a solid path, small gravel and grass.
There are eating and toilet facilities in Cheddar and axbridge.
When you go through Cheddar towards Wells there is a garden centre that has a very pleasant cafe.
